Our tutor

Sandra M Doran has been a successful journalist and writer for twelve years. She has worked in most fields of journalism, and has worked for some of toady's most popular magazines and newspapers in the UK. She enjoys a profitable career as a writer and thrives on a new challenge every day.

In 2000 saw the publication of Sandra's first novel “Time After Time”. Her research gained her favour and recognition with The Southern Cherokee Tribe in Georgia, USA.

Following the success of her fist novel, in 2005 Sandra saw the publication of her second novel “Another Time Another Place”, which is listed on Amazon.com. This book also received credit for the research involved, and was also acknowledged by The Royal British Legion and the Mayor of Lincoln.

Sandra first attended college in 1993 to study journalism, then went on to study creative writing, and eventually novel writing. After graduation, Sandra became a full time freelance writer. She has been published writing in various genres, such as true-life and celebrities. Sandra has also run a local workshop in Lincoln, New Writers Workshops.

On your arrival at La Maison Verte you will receive a copy of our authors novel “Another Time Another Place”, so that you can see how research, dialogue, emotion and expressions, is applied in writing fiction, historical, short story, non-fiction and novel writing, which will enable you to explore your creativity and understand the context of creative writing.
